Our Story

In December of 2022, the opportunity of a lifetime came along. We jumped at the chance to finally have our own candy shop business and on January 12th, 2023, Lakeside Sweets had their grand opening under the new ownership of Lori and Dakotah Lund.

At the end of April 2023, a friend helped us obtain the vision of including ice cream, and by early June, we expanded into a bigger space. Working with our landlord and the Health Dept, by mid September 2023, we were able to open up our kitchen to start making our own chocolates and candies.

Lakeside Sweets is truly a small family business; at any given time you might see Lori’s parents working in the kitchen making chocolates or toffee centers. You might also see John, Lori’s husband helping around the shop or even their grandkids helping out by sampling anything they can to make sure it’s good for you!

We are so excited to bring more goodies to you in the years to come!
